What Is the Difference Between Cutting Quantity and Shipped Quantity?
Cutting quantity counts the garment sets or panels prepared for assembly, while shipped quantity counts finished units released and dispatched.
The figures can differ because of defects, process losses, replacements, or agreed quantity allowances. A higher cut quantity does not automatically authorize an over-shipment. Ask the factory to reconcile input, accepted output, rejected units, and dispatch totals against the purchase order, with clear rules for any shortage or excess.
